Isl202 Assignment 1 Solution 2022:
Verse:
And whatever good thing you enjoyed, it is from ALLAH. Then, when misfortune reaches you, you cry out him for help. [Surah Al-Nahl: 53]
Translation:
We should look at ourselves and the way we behave towards ALLAH’s blessings. Do we use them in obedience to His commands? Do we realize that ALLAH has right over us in everything that He gives us? If we blessed with wealth, the poor have right in it. If we are blessed with health and strength, the weak and infirm have a right in it.
Verse:
Were you to count the favors of ALLAH you shall never be able to encompass them. Verily man is highly unjust, exceedingly ungrateful. [ Surah Ibrahim Ayat 34].
Translation:
Consider the human body. It is made up of one hundred trillion cells. Each cell is a blessing from ALLAH. But this doesn’t mean there are only one hundred trillion blessings in the human body. There are for more, Since ALLAH’s blessings manifest themselves within each one of those cells in innumerable ways. Moreover, each cell is exposed to an uncountable number of potential threats, from viruses to cancer to variety of malfunctions. ALLAH through His mercy protects the cells from all of these. Therefore, we can never begin to enumerate that ALLAH, at every moment, bestows upon us within our body.
Verse:
And remember when your lord said: If you are grateful, I will give you more and if you are ungrateful, My chastisement is severe. [Surah Ibrahim Ayat 7]
Translation:
From this verse it is known that blessing is more than thanksgiving. The fact of thanksgiving is that one acknowledges the blessings of giver with and makes the nafs accustomed to it. A subtle point here is that when a servant studies the blessings of ALLAH Almighty and all kind of bounties and favors, he is engaged in giving thanks to Him. The blessings are more than that and ALLAH Almighty. This position is very high and highest position is that the love of the giver of blessings should prevail so much that the inclination of the heart towards blessings does not remain.
Verse:
And all the blessings you have are from ALLAH. [ Surah An-Nahl]
Translation:
In these verses it is said that the wise man should not give thanks to anyone except ALLAH Almighty because thanksgiving is in exchange for the blessings which is given to man from ALLAH Almighty.
Verse:
It is He who brought you forth from the wombs of your mothers when you knew nothing; and He gave you hearing and sight and intelligence and affections: that you may give thanks (To ALLAH). [Surah an Nahl Ayat 78]
Translation:
In this verse, ALLAH has given further manifestations towards the one who indicates His powers, and that ALLAH created us from the wombs of our mothers when we knew nothing. At the beginning of the birth and in the first nature He gave us knowledge. Then ALLAH made our ears, our eyes and our heart to give us these senses so that we may take away our ignorance from them and be grateful.
